Released alongside Use Your Illusion II, the album expanded the band’s sound far beyond the raw hard rock of Appetite For Destruction. It combines heavy riffs, piano-led ballads, blues influences, long-form arrangements and some of the band’s most ambitious studio work, including Live And Let Die, Don’t Cry, November Rain, Dust N’ Bones, Double Talkin’ Jive, Dead Horse and Coma.
This 2LP vinyl reissue was released by Geffen on 11 November 2022. The album is presented in a gatefold sleeve and was remastered from high-resolution transfers of the original analog master tapes, giving this large-scale Guns N’ Roses album a proper double-vinyl format.
