Description

U2 – Zooropa 2LP

Zooropa is the eighth studio album by Irish rock band U2, originally released in 1993.

Created during the band’s Zoo TV era, the album continues the experimental direction of Achtung Baby, mixing alternative rock with electronic textures, media-saturated atmosphere and darker European mood. It includes tracks such as Zooropa, Babyface, Numb, Lemon, Stay Faraway, So Close!, Daddy’s Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car, Some Days Are Better Than Others, The First Time, Dirty Day and The Wanderer.

This 2LP vinyl reissue was released by Island on 26 July 2018. The double-vinyl format gives the album’s electronic layers, atmospheric production and late-night alternative-rock character a strong physical presentation.

About Island Records
Island Records is a multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. It was founded in Jamaica by Chris Blackwell, Graeme Goodall, and Leslie Kong in 1959, and was eventually sold to PolyGram in 1989. Island and A&M Records, another label recently acquired by PolyGram, were both at the time the largest independent record labels in history, with Island having exerted a major influence on the progressive music scene in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s. Island Records operates four international divisions: Island US, Island UK, Island Australia, and Island France (known as Vertigo France until 2014). Current key people include Imran Majid and Justin Eshak who were named co-CEOs of Island Records in 2021. Partially due to its significant legacy, Island remains one of UMG's pre-eminent record labels.
