Originally released in 1960, it is one of Davis’s most distinctive orchestral jazz recordings, blending modal jazz, classical influence, Spanish themes and richly arranged brass and woodwind textures.
This single LP edition includes Concierto De Aranjuez: Adagio, Will O’ The Wisp, The Pan Piper, Saeta and Solea. The album is especially important for Concierto De Aranjuez: Adagio and Solea, and remains one of the most atmospheric collaborations between Miles Davis and Gil Evans.
